ABOUT THE POSITION

The Norrbotten Regiment I 19 is one of Sweden's largest regiments. I 19 is tasked with producing combat units for the Norrbotten Brigade. The brigade's units are specialized in combat in subarctic environments. I 19 is the lock in the north.

About the unit
The task of the Armored Battalion is to develop the ability to conduct combat with battalion and brigade functions in subarctic environments. As part of this, the Armored Battalion conducts basic training for soldiers, unit training, and maintains and develops the battalion's and brigade functions' command capability.
Main responsibilities
As a material officer in the Armored Battalion, you will, in close cooperation with the training adjutant, support the company. The tasks will include both administrative and practical tasks close to the conscripts' activities, which at times may be in a field environment.
Your tasks will include:
- Material administration and inventory in PRIO and LIFT
- Manage and generate material movements in the systems such as orders, calls, goods reception, material withdrawal, picking and packing, and delivery notes
- Process order requests
- Order services from the self-service portal, e.g., new IT.
- Order catering for the company, as well as where conscripts are located in other garrisons.
- Support with delivery of catering where training activities are taking place.
- Be able to participate and to some extent lead the maintenance of materials and vehicles
- Assist with the transport of materials and personnel.
- Return/collection of materials
- Building and barracks responsibility
- Depending on competence and experience, be an exercise leader and/or in troop leadership in their military profession.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Education or previous experience in administrative work
- Driver's license B
- Good computer skills
- Good ability to handle the MS Office package (Word and Excel)
- Good administrative skills
Personal qualities
We are looking for someone who is meticulous, flexible, and has a good sense of order. The professional role involves a high degree of integrity, independence, and the ability to collaborate with other professional roles. You should also have a strong service mindset towards other employees within your unit and be able to take independent responsibility for tasks being solved as well as being able to work in a team. You should be positive about undergoing certain military training and working shorter periods in the field during exercises. We also see that you have a positive attitude towards physical training as this is part of the tasks in the Armed Forces. A great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Meritorious
- Experience with LIFT and PRIO
- Completed Basic Military Training (GMU)
- Previous service in a government agency
- Experience from service in the Armed Forces (e.g., previously employed as GSS/K etc.)
- Military driver's license

I 19 is one of Sweden's largest regiments with operations in Boden, Kiruna, Tåme, and Grubbnäsudden/Lomben. The main location and management of the regiment are in Boden.
The regiment's most important task is to build combat units, and in the coming years, I 19 will gradually develop the new Norrbotten Brigade. By 2028, the regiment should be able to train, store, and mobilize the entire brigade, including the associated functional units; command, field operations, air defense, and logistics. The brigade should be able to conduct combat in all environments but be specialized for combat in the subarctic environment of the Nordic region.
The regiment also includes the Armed Forces' winter unit, which is tasked with coordinating and supporting the development of the Armed Forces' winter capability.
The conscript training is conducted at the Norrbotten Armored Battalion, which is responsible for training and maintaining units for the Norrbotten Brigade. The regiment also consists of the regimental staff, Defense Health, Garrison Support Unit, Logistics Unit, and Local Planning Unit.
